Mardi gras

"Laissez les bons temps rouler!" On this festive day, we invited Plainview students to join us for a stroll down Bourbon Street in the Big Easy to celebrate Fat Tuesday, K12 foodservice style. Creole cookin’ was in full effect, with a lunch menu based in the Cajun Trinity, and our cafeterias decorated in purple, green, and gold.

Red beans & rice, chicken gumbo, southern green beans, and homestyle cornbread were provided to all those in the mood for some Cajun fare. Bell peppers, celery, and tomatoes were available to all via our salad bars to round out their festive plates.

There’s nothing quite like Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and nothing like it at Plainview ISD!
